Our Qantm Creative family is heartbroken to share that Andrew Roberts passed peacefully at home on Monday, February 16. Today, we want to honor and celebrate his life, and the lasting impact he made on our team, our clients, and our community.
When our team talks about Andrew, the same words come up again and again: generous; kind; encouraging. We feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having known him and worked alongside him. Everyday, we felt his joy, his quick wit, and his thoughtful presence.
At Qantm Creative, Andrew served as our PR Counselor, though that title barely captures what he meant to us. He was a trusted advisor, a strategic thinker, and a steady voice who helped shape how we showed up for our clients and our community. He had a rare ability to tell stories with clarity and heart, always leading with authenticity. His outreach was informed, respectful, and remarkably effective.

Beth Hester, Managing Editor of CoVaBIZ Magazine, shared this about Andrew:
“He was such an asset for your team…He knew how to deploy his marketing and PR skills with the kind of congenial, informative, light touch that was so effective that even jaded editors like me would be sure to read his emails. I know he will be missed.”
That was Andrew. He built genuine relationships rooted in trust, and those relationships strengthened not only our work, but the broader community we’re proud to be part of.

Inside our office, Andrew was woven into the rhythm of everyday life, sharing conversations about niche Nebraska cuisine, bonding over personal passions, offering encouragement in passing, and always ready with a warm smile. His presence brought a steadiness and light that made our workplace better.
A longtime LGBTQ+ advocate, Andrew previously worked at LGBT Life Center, co-owned and edited OutLife757, and helped his incredible husband, Eric, launch the Virginia Queer Film Festival (VAQFF). Before joining Qantm Creative, he served as Marketing Manager at Samaritan House, where he remained a steadfast supporter even after moving on. He was also a member of BizConnect Hampton Roads and the Norfolk Society for Cemetery Conservation, a reflection of how deeply engaged and present he was in Hampton Roads. His impact reached far beyond our office walls.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and service; one that will continue to be felt throughout the community he cared for so deeply.
