Herndon PD
The Town of Herndon Police Department in Northern Virginia was in need of an independent website for their police department as none had previously existed. For any recruiting or contact needs, the police department only had a dedicated page on the Town of Herndon city government website. As the department has expanded, the need arose for this dedicated website. But the website also needed to be dynamic, user-friendly, informative, and have subsequent content that showcased the department. The Herndon Police Department (HPD) put out a request for proposal (RFP) looking to contract an agency to build a brand new website and produce a recruitment video that showcased the culture of HPD, Qantm Creative submitted the winning concept and proposal.

The Results
Upon the beginning of our working relationship, we began with an analysis of comparable police department websites and held interviews with key project stakeholders such as their Public Information Officer, Captains, and Chief of Police to determine the features, content, and overall theme of the website. When developing the design and color scheme of the website, we wanted to keep things modern with an enhanced user experience. For the video shoot, we wanted to combine officer and staff interviews with b-roll footage of Herndon showcasing the people, establishments, and neighborhoods they protect. The end result was a brand new website that emphasized the impact HPD contributes to the community and the employment opportunities for officers and support personnel. Additionally, the recruitment video highlighted the supportive and innovative culture HPD has created and showcased what new officers can look forward to as they join the force.
